Recent Updates
In the several months of being MIA, a handful of fanlistings came in and out.
New current fanlistings
Of the entire Death Note series, there was only one character that I love the most above all others, and that would be L Lawliet. Buruma was willing to host it on her l-lawliet.net domain, as well as to combine the members list from his physical fanlisting. Just recently, he hit and passed a new milestone, with 600+ fans! An award each was received from both TFL and AFL networks for 500 members in September 2009.
Death Note: L Lawliet
While I was still active in the fanlistings “business”, I met and made really close friends with several people around the world, and these two girls just surpassed my definition of awesome!
Nekoi Echizen (ethereal-world.net)
Elegant Princess
Beth (beirra.org)
Of all the Saiyuki pairings, I would have to say Konzen and Goku were the most… “compatible”. xD Despite the daily arguments, or the number of golden hair Konzen shed due to Goku stupidly thinking it was the sun (in their first time meeting each other), they were very cute and not as violent in heaven as compared to on earth!
Saiyuki: Konzen and Goku
Adoptions and closed listings
Due to the small number of applicants, several fanlistings were closed during a clearance…
- Rurouni Kenshin: Kokoro no Hadaka
- Aethereality.net
- Saiyuki: Sanzo’s Harisen
- El Hazard
- Hayate no Gotoku! (Hayate the Combat Butler)
- Saiyuki: Cho Hakkai and Hakuryu
Only one managed to be adopted out, it was passed on to Yaminogame!
Numbers and milestones
There were only two important and significant milestones hit:
L Lawliet - 600 members
Mathematics - 400 members
Moved and Milestones
Since I changed servers, I get to manage my subdomains better with cPanel. So, the collective is moved (again, yeah~ ^^; ) and the following fanlistings have been updated to their new locations as well!
[ Maiden Trip ] Card Captor Sakura Movie
[ Sensei ] Takako and Shinbo
[ Precious Memories ] Kagura and Kyou
[ Mathematike Teckne ] Mathematics
[ Together ] Hakkai and Hakuryu
[ Whack! ] Sanzo’s Harisen
Also, celebrating huge milestones for: Ayashi no Ceres (1200+) & Tsubasa (100)! <3 This might be the last time I will announce any more milestones for Tsubasa.. Aww~ PS: Not to forget, Aikousha has recorded 500+ joined fanlistings now! :D
Towards 6 Months
With another couple of days, the network would be 6 months old. At this rate, there doesn’t seem to be any large revamp. Some small changes might apply, but other than that, I would have to say the exams next month is really stressing me out. Speaking about birthdays, I got a small gift from Rosie for my sweet sixteen, 2 codes for Gorgeous. With that addition, I did an effort to clean my codes donors list. All has been edited, except those few who I do not know. Hopefully they would somehow make a “comeback” or something so I can credit them properly.
Edit — Mathematics fanlisting~
A member recently emailed me about her information saved in the database. Her email was wrong, and after checking, realized it was a mistake on my side. Truth is, I inserted members not through the database, as Inge, the previous owner, gave me the list in PHPFanlist format (I am using Enthusiast). Therefore, I did the manual method and saved members one at a time using the join form. If any other members have any problems, feel free to contact me! Sorry for any inconvenience caused!
Mathematics
School can be fun, unfortunately there some aspects that I dislike about it. The subject that I love most would be Maths! It is really interesting, since there are many solutions to a single problem. I score well in Maths, and I love all (except very few) the teachers who taught me before. There’s no one subject that I am as dedicated to other than maths, so I am really grateful to Inge for extending the fanlisting to me.
The fanlisting title is not English; it’s in Latin, meaning mathematical art. I named it so after reading the quote:
Mathematics is one of the essential emanations of the human spirit, a thing to be valued in and for itself, like art or poetry.
- Oswald Beblen, 1924
